End Grain chopping boards offer many advantages over the common Cross Grain boards. Due to their construction, End Grain boards offer the user a more hygienic cutting surface. This is due to the end grain fibres of the wood separating under the weight of a knife and then naturally reforming when pressure is released. This natural self-healing process and helps to avoid getting deep cuts or grooves in your board, where bacteria can commonly build.
The boards are also extremely hard wearing and with the right care and attention will last for many years, even a lifetime! All our boards are treated with a food safe Danish Oil.
